Manuel got in touch with Juvenessenz and scheduled a consultation with Dr. Thoele. During the first appointment, he shared that the wrinkles on his face were increasingly bothering him. Dr. Thoele also went through the Juvenessenz health questionnaire with Manuel to check for any health issues or risks that should be considered during treatment. The mirror plays an important role during consultations, allowing Dr. Thoele to precisely identify the wrinkles or facial changes Manuel is referring to.
Before every first treatment, a photo documentation is carried out at Juvenessenz. We usually use the 3D scanner, as it allows for highly reproducible image documentation. This enables us to assess the tissue structure, pores, and wrinkle quality very precisely. Over time, we can also clearly track treatment success.
Here, we show Manuel’s reflection via the 3D image. He shares that he’s often told he looks “stern,” even when he’s in a good mood. The forehead lines, frown lines, and crow’s feet, along with changes in contour in the forehead and cheek area, increasingly bother him. The sharp contour of his forehead and the volume loss in his cheeks make him appear less approachable than he really is.
When Manuel laughs, the expression lines and loss of skin firmness become more apparent. He first noticed these changes in photo shoots. Especially in bright sunlight, the differences are more visible. Manuel wants to be perceived as youthful, friendly, and fresh – the way he actually feels inside.
At the end of the consultation, we created a treatment plan for Manuel. The first goal is to regenerate the skin changes caused by dynamic wrinkles. We use botulinum toxin to soften wrinkles on the forehead, frown lines, and crow’s feet. In a second step, the age-related volume loss is addressed using hyaluronic acid fillers. To further improve tissue firmness and skin texture, a biostimulator is added to the treatment plan.
Hyaluronic acid fillers are typically used to restore age-related volume loss. This loss occurs due to decreasing bone density and thinning connective tissue in the head and neck area. Volume also diminishes in fat pads that support the face. Fillers help restore this volume immediately, while also stimulating connective tissue regeneration over time. Only as much filler is used as needed to maintain natural proportions.
Biostimulators activate the body’s natural regeneration process. We differentiate between products for deep tissue and for the superficial skin layers. Their major advantage is their excellent biocompatibility. They do not add volume directly, making them ideal for enhancing skin firmness without creating a “full” appearance. The result is a smoother skin texture and softened deep lines – especially around the cheeks and mouth. By combining various treatment methods, age-related changes can be more effectively rejuvenated without the face appearing “treated.”
Manuel’s treatment was carried out step-by-step over about 8 weeks, with follow-up visits after each session. About 4 months after the first treatment, we met again for a follow-up. The results were impressive: his skin quality had clearly improved, and the wrinkles on his forehead and around his eyes were significantly less visible. He appeared less tired under the eyes and looked noticeably fresher overall.
From a 45° angle, the improvements are even more apparent. The skin is visibly rejuvenated, and the overall complexion looks fresher. The volume in the forehead and cheek area has been subtly restored. By gently correcting volume loss and regenerating the tissue, we’ve achieved better facial harmony. His forehead now appears softer, and Manuel looks much younger.
A smile says more than a thousand words – especially with Manuel. His skin is firmer, and there are visibly fewer dynamic wrinkles. These were caused both by expressive facial movements and a loss of skin firmness. His contours now appear more harmonious, and overall, Manuel looks more relaxed.
Over a 4-month period, Manuel achieved excellent results. With botulinum toxin, we targeted dynamic wrinkles and improved overall skin quality. Hyaluronic acid subtly restored lost volume. The goal was to preserve the character of Manuel’s face while enhancing his appearance. Using biostimulators, we also improved tissue firmness. His tissue is visibly and sustainably regenerated. With consistent skincare and occasional targeted touch-ups using minimally invasive techniques, Manuel can enjoy his refreshed look for a long time to come.
